We took the boys to their first baseball game tonight--the Columbus Clippers vs. the Norfolk Tides. We were extra lucky and got free tickets from one of Mark's fellows, Dr. Gary. Dr. Gary's dad is a general practitioner in Norfolk and also the Tides' team physician. We had great seats, but I don't think Nico and Rocco saw a single minute of the game. Instead, they played with Dr. Gary and Dr. Anthony (another of Mark's fellows), chased their souvenir balls all over creation (I know what you're thinking, but they were a better purchase than cowbells), devoured pop corn and ice cream (in addition to the snacks I had packed), ran up and down the grassy knoll behind the outfield no less than thirty times and splashed in the water fountain. I think we'll try again...when they're seven.
