Countdown

Nico is posing with a chain we made to count down to Thanksgiving. It's a short one--Mommy's a tad behind and we got started late! Anyhow, each day we write something for which Nico is thankful on one of the chain's links. I thought it might be fun to post some of his blessings here. Today was Day #1 and so far we have..."cheese sticks!"

I'm surprised he didn't say he's thankful for popcorn. We had movie night last night--watched "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving"--and he annihilated a bowl of the stuff. I'm trying to teach him about Thanksgiving, but it's kind of difficult to do when every place we go is smothered in Christmas. The pumpkin farms and apple orchards are closed now, so we're spending some time indoors doing Thanksgiving crafts, reading holiday books...and watching a movie! I took the photo below during the part where Snoopy (or "Snoofy," as Nico calls him) is wrestling with the lawn chair. I wish I had video taped the giggles instead!
