Nico recently started his first swimming lessons of the year. He has been taking lessons since he was a baby, but this is the first time he's been on his own--past years' classes have been parent-child. He has a lot of fun--and it's a blast for Mark and I to finally sit poolside and just watch him--but I'm not sure he's getting a lot out of it. There's not much one-on-one attention from either instructor and great deal of time is spent waiting along the wall for his turn. I think we might go the private lesson route in the fall. In the meantime, this is nice reassurance that he has no anxieties about not having mommy or daddy in the water with him--a good transition from the parent-child classes.
